In spite of the warnings, he decided to go and see the edge of the world. The government had discouraged gawkers, but the edge was so large that they couldn’t really patrol it all. You could get there if you knew which roads to take, and he did. He had paid a guy fifty bucks for directions.
When he got there, it was just like everyone had said. You could hear the roar of the water as it poured over the edge created by The Accident, but you couldn’t see a thing. There was too much mist in the air.
